qr.io QR Code Not Working? What Happened and What to Do
We can't revive your qr.io code. Only QR.io can switch it back on, from the account that made it.
If your phone shows a qr.io address when you scan, the code holds a QR.io short link, not your own address.

What happened to your code
- QR.io's free trial lasts 7 days, and its static codes keep working after the trial ends. Source: qr.io FAQ
- When the trial ends, QR.io pauses dynamic codes. You can still log in, and QR.io says your data is saved. Source: QR.io Help Center: free trial expiry
- QR.io says you can upgrade at any time, however long ago the trial ended, and the paused dynamic codes are reactivated. Source: QR.io Help Center: free trial expiry
- Only the account that made the code can reactivate it. A new account, or a new code with the same content, won't bring the old one back. Source: QR.io Help Center: reactivation
- Don't know which email you used? QR.io asks for a picture of the code to help you find the account. Source: QR.io Help Center: reactivation
The honest fix
- Log back in. Sign in at qr.io/login with the account that made the code, then follow QR.io's reactivation steps.
- Or replace it. Make a new code in our QR code designer. Before you download, it reads your design back the way a phone camera would, so you know the new code scans.
- Covering the old code with a sticker? Make the new code big enough to hide the old one completely. QR code size for printing gives the sizes.
ShapingQR is free, with no scan limit. Once you confirm your email, a dynamic code keeps working until you pause or delete it.
