Privacy

What we store about you. Your email address and the QR codes you choose to save. Static codes made without an account are never stored on our servers: their content is sent to us only to draw the preview, and we count that a code was made or downloaded (see below).

What we store about scans. When someone scans a dynamic code we record the time, a device category (phone, tablet or desktop) and, if our hosting provider tells us, the country. We do not store IP addresses. To estimate unique scans we keep a short one-way digest that changes every day and cannot be turned back into a person.

Counting how many people finish making a code. No version test is running right now. If we compare two layouts of a page again, we'll say so here. There are no tracking cookies for this. Each page view with the editor gets a random id in the page itself, and we may store funnel events (for example that the page with the editor was viewed, that a code was made, or that an email was entered) with the event name, that random page-view id and optionally which QR code. Events from earlier version tests also keep which version was shown. We do not store your email, IP address or browser details in those events. Funnel events are deleted after 90 days.

What we don't do. No fingerprinting, no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no visitor profiles, no selling data. If you save a code from that page, we keep the page-view id (and, for codes saved during an earlier version test, the version) with that code so we can count finished sign-ups. We delete them after 90 days, or sooner if the code is deleted.

Deleting. Deleting a code keeps it recoverable for 30 days, then removes it and its scans. Deleting your account removes everything right away.
